UKIP: Adopt clear policies in favour of armed self-defence

Please sign the petition below to show your support to the UK Independence Party for the addition of clear policies in favour of firearm ownership and armed self-defence to their manifesto. With enough support, UKIP can be shown that this is an issue cared about by many and with such policy additions they can become a concrete medium through which self-defence and gun rights can be championed.

  1. Do you all really have no right to own a weapon? I live in the US and thankfully Obama hasn't taken our 2nd Amendment away... yet (this is the part of our Constitution which enshrines our right to defend ourselves). All the news I hear from the UK makes me sad. You realy don't have the right to carry a weapon on you?

    1. non at all, handguns are long sins banned, stun guns and pepper sprays also illegal (classed as firearms) perfect conditions for criminals to thrive the likely-hood of a brit getting a legal firearm is bout the same as you getting a missile. people in the UK really need to wake up

    2. Wrong. As long as you can obtain a license for a type of firearm, you can own said firearm. People can own handguns, however, they need to be stored at a gun club. The gun laws in the UK aren't; "No guns!. Ever!"

  4. reaction to dunblane was knee jerk reaction. and the bullets that killed were not of the same caliber as Thomas Hamilton used. Will we ever know the complete truth even with the usual time delay given to publish what auctally transpired, how many years is that? More guns less crime it is proven in America and could be proved in the UK. Govt just does not want to be proved wrong again.

  5. If people did have the right to own a gun how would you keep control of it.ie. Who has the right to own and who don't have the right to own one. This is a very grey area . But I do agree with anonymous in the fact that the public are defenceless against an attack from a criminal. And it is against the law to carry any weapon of any sort. From pen knife to a baton or pepper spray. I do agree British people should arm themselves against criminals but firearms I'm not to sure to be honest. And yes you can get a license for firearms but you can not walk around with them. I think that's what anonymous was trying to get at.

  6. I would also like to say that I was once a victim of an attack and was stabbed in the chest. So I do believe that having something to defend yourself is vital. But again I don't think guns are the answer.

  7. The UK public are very anti-gun, so the extremist views of this campaign are counter productive.
